Abstract: A method is described to construct a polynome approximation of SHAFRANOWs equilibrium conditions from given distributions of the current density. For the flux function a polynomial of a certain degree is assumed. The partial differential equation which connects theflux function and the current distribution is used to determine the coefficients of the polynomial. An accuracy test shows whether the assumed degree of this polynomial is sufficiently high. The plasma pressure flux function. For assumed, and the given current pressure part and the current flux aspect ratio (major radius / minor too great. From the calculated total plasma force and the elctromagnetic force it can be seen, polynomials is sufficiently high.and the current function are related to theboth a polynomial with respect to the flux isdensity is splitted into thepart . This can be done, if theradius of the plasma) is nottotal plasma force and thewhether
